Necessity and Use

Many questions in trauma biomechanics are complex problems to be solved requiring interdisciplinary cooperation. Concerning new scientific insights in the field of trauma biomechanics there is momentarily a lack in the consolidation of existing knowledge and a reliably working knowledge management is still to be established.

However, appropriate professional knowledge is essential in assisting the development of internationally accepted limits for working and product safety as well as for legal practice.

The TIM research network will well be able to improve the current situation through focussing on available resources, coordinating the activities in solving problems and encouraging interdisciplinary teamwork on any professional subject.
